Service Menu

In this section, you can populate and manage all of your salon's services

Creating a Service

  1. Navigate to the Service Menu area by using the link in the main menu
  2. Click the Add Service button in the top right corner
  3. Complete the form with the following details:
    • Name the name of the service
    • Category the parent category of the service
    • Flags here you can set a service to inactive if the service is no longer in use
  4. Click Save at the bottom of your screen

Set Pricing for a Service [optional]

Assigning prices for each employee pricing level is optional, but recommended if you would like to take advantage of accurate reporting in the Analytics section of the Dashboard. Assigning prices for all employee pricing levels is required if your salon is using the Vish Front Desk

  1. Navigate to the Service Menu area by using the link in the main menu
  2. Find the service for which you would like to assign pricing from the list
  3. Click More Options
  4. Select Edit
  5. Enter a price for each Pricing Level available
  6. Click Save at the bottom of your screen

If the wrong number of Pricing Levels is available, the number of Pricing Levels is configurable via the Salon Configuration section

Editing a Service

  1. Navigate to the Service Menu area by using the link in the main menu
  2. Find the service you wish to edit from the list
  3. Click More Options
  4. Select Edit
  5. Complete any modifications to the form
  6. Click Save at the bottom of your screen

Product Allowances

Setting an allowance using the Vish Product Allowance calculator for the first time

  1. Locate the service you’d like to add a product allowance for, and click the Calculate Allowance
  2. This is the Product Allowance Calculator and you should see Bowl 1
  3. Click on +Add Products to choose what product you’d like to use to calculate the allowance. For example, for a Gloss service, you may choose a Redken Shades EQ product. Navigate through the product line, choose your product, and select Add Products
  4. From there, you will be able to choose between three preset amounts in either grams or ounces, and the option to input a Custom amount.
  5. Click on +Add Developer if you use a developer with the product for this service, choose your manufacturer, the desired developer, and select Add Developer
  6. From there, you can choose what mixing ratio you use, again with the ability to choose a custom ratio
  7. If you have a second bowl in the service, for example a Bleach and Toner, Add Bowl and complete steps 4-7 above.
  8. If you’re satisfied with how your allowance is set, click on Save at the bottom of the screen.

Editing a product allowance that has already been set with the calculator

  1. Find the service you’d like to edit and click the Product Allowance
  2. You can change the desired weight by using any of the preset measurements or the Custom button.
  3. If you’d like to switch out the product completely for this service, you can click on the icon
  4. Click on +Add Products to choose what product you’d like to use to calculate the allowance. For example, for a Gloss service, you may choose a Redken Shades EQ product. Navigate through the product line, choose your product, and select Add Products
  5. From there, you will be able to choose between three preset amounts in either grams or ounces, and the option to input a Custom amount.
  6. Click on +Add Developer if you use a developer with the product for this service, choose your manufacturer, the desired developer, and select Add Developer
  7. From there, you can choose what mixing ratio you use, again with the ability to choose a custom ratio
  8. If you have a second bowl in the service, for example a Bleach and Toner, Add Bowl and complete steps 4-7 above.

  1. Find the service you’d like to edit and click the Product Allowance
  2. Click on Add Bowl in the top right corner of the page
  3. Click on +Add Products to choose what product you’d like to use to calculate the allowance. For example, for a Gloss service, you may choose a Redken Shades EQ product. Navigate through the product line, choose your product, and select Add Products
  4. From there, you will be able to choose between three preset amounts in either grams or ounces, and the option to input a Custom amount.

The Vish Product Allowance calculator uses the product pricing and container size information inputted in the “Products” tab of your Vish Dashboard. It is very important to keep your products up to date to ensure you are accurately capturing your product costs in your appointments.
